After reading some compelling evidence I am, like most American males, most likely deficient in zinc and magnesium, I decided to take a ZMA supplement before going to bed. At 35, and with approximately one year of fairly serious Olympic weightlifting training under my belt, I'm starting to take a long-term view of my health and my ability to recover. If popping a few capsules of a relatively cheap supplement like zinc and magnesium will help, I'll do it.

I'm using Biotest's ZMA. I'm only two days into taking the stuff, but the reported vivid dreams I've read about are definitely happening. I've only taken ZMA for two nights now, but I have had some wild, vivid dreams. The first night I dreamt I saw a commercial airline jet crash after it failed to land in extremely bad windy conditions. The second night (last night) I had dreams that involved scenes from "Apocalypto" that were re-mixed and distorted into something more disturbing than anything I saw in the movie.

What gives? If ZMA is going to make me have bizarre, almost-nightmarish dreams every night, I don't know if taking it is worth it.

I'm resurrecting this blog. I killed about two years ago because I felt it was going nowhere. A few months ago, though, I started a new blog using Blogger in an attempt to kickstart some personal projects.
That lasted about a week, although I still plan on posting to it occasionally. The blogging thing is fun at times and a annoying at times. If you don't have something to say, you don't have to use the internet to say it. My main goal was and is, to use the blog format as a way of charting progress on personal creative goals.

I put a lot of effort into getting Movable Type up and running on this website. I even managed to get the look and feel of the site merged in with the blog so it all had a fairly integrated, cohesive look and feel. So now, I am going to slowly dust it off and start posting to it again. This time, I hope to keep at it.
